This New Year, people aren’t the only ones aspiring for a change. A certain Singaporean brand is bringing a new kind of flavor this 2018: salted egg chips. These goodies, under the brand The Golden Duck, will make for perfect snacks for your friends and family.

Golden Duck is the No. 1 Singaporean premium snack founded in 2015. It came to the Philippines early this year, but is making more noise as it becomes available in numerous locations, such as all S&R branches and stores in UP Town Center, The Podium, Greenhills Promenade, Newport Mall, Alabang Town Center, Power Plant Mall, Robinsons Magnolia, Lucky Chinatown Mall, SM Mall of Asia, and SM North Edsa.
I’ve tried many salted egg chips and I tasted the difference in The Golden Duck with their two variants: fish skin chips and the potato crisps. For The Golden Duck Fish Skin Chips, I like how the saltiness isn’t overpowering. Thanks to its light texture, you can munch on this snack without feeling guilty. This makes for perfect bar chow!
The Golden Duck Potato Crisps is also a winner for me because the brand managed to create a perfect harmony of natural sweetness and saltiness, while still maintaining the distinct flavor of salted egg. If you serve this as a side dish to a meal with meat, it would definitely work.
