They say everything happens for a reason.
Now I know the reason why “#ItsMoreFunInThePhilippines.” Because, not only do you find pristine and white beaches, rich culture, fresh fruits, and delectable food here, you will also find the most beautiful women in the world.
Everyone, meet the women who brought pride and glory to our country this year: Miss Universe -Pia Wurtzbach, Miss Earth- Angelia Ong, Miss Globe- Ann Colis, Miss Scuba International- Cindy Madduma, and Miss Intercontentinal 1st runner-up- Christi Lynn McGarry.
#ThankfulTuesday: Year 2015 is the year for our Beauty Queens
October 8, 2015 – Ann Colis was hailed as Miss Globe 2015.
The coronation night was held at the Rose Theater Brampton in Toronto, Canada. Ann finished her BS Management degree at the University of Santo Tomas (UST).
Indeed, beauty and brains!
November 19, 2016 – Cindy Madduma was the 5th Miss Scuba International 2015 winner.
Cindy Madduma, a registered nurse from Palawan, was hailed as the 5th Miss Scuba International. According to news reports, she graduated in Palawan State University and worked as a registered nurse before she joined the said pageant.
The Miss Scuba International was founded by Mr. Robert Lo in 2011. Mr. Lo is said to be a strong believer and advocate of the marine environment. Hence, he founded a beauty pageant with a mission of “Saving the Oceans through Beauty.”
December 5, 2015 – Angelia Ong was crowned as Miss Earth 2015.
The 25-year-old, beauty and brains, Angelia outshined 85 other candidates for the crown. This is the Philippines’ second time in a row to win in the said competition.
December 19, 2015 – Christi Lynn McGarry won the Miss Intercontinental 1st Runner-up
Our country’s bet Christi Lynn McGarry won 1strunner-up in the recently concluded Miss Intercontinental 2015 held in Germany. Christi is a Filipino-American from New Jersey, USA. She also joined the Miss New Jersey Teen 2008 and placed first runner-up.
With only few days left before we welcome another year, a pleasant surprise hit everyone, worldwide. Although, she wasn’t given a proper walk and time to really enjoy the fame, the thought of recognizing our country to be the Miss Universe 2015 is already grand.
I got lucky to have met Pia earlier this year during the unveiling of LG G4 event at Solaire. She was one of the special guests to witness the unveiling of how great LG G4 mobile phone is. She was so polite and accommodating to our photo opportunity with her.
The 28-year old beauty queen is also a stylist and finished Culinary Arts at the Center for Asian Culinary Studies. She might have received a lot of haters and negative comments, but they don’t really matter. What’s important is we were able to represent and chalk another one up for Pinas!
Ultimately, she is “confidently beautiful with a heart.” BOOM!
Once again, congratulations ladies and to all the beauty queens who won this year! You have portrayed the true meaning of “beauty and brains.”
