Filipina Nurse was Crowned as the Miss Scuba International 2015

The Philippines is not only known for its diverse culture and pristine beaches but also how beautiful and smart Filipino women are. In fact, in the recently concluded International beauty pageant held in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, a Filipina nurse was crowned as the Miss Scuba International 2015.

Cindy Madduma, a registered nurse from Palawan, was hailed as the 5th Miss Scuba International. According to news reports, she graduated in Palawan State University and worked as a registered nurse before she joined the said pageant.

It was also mentioned in an article shared by The Borneo Post, there were 18 contestants, who represented their countries respectively.

 Additionally, Cindy also won Miss Marine Conservation & Best in National Costume.

The Miss Scuba International was founded by Mr. Robert Lo in 2011. Mr. Lo is said to be a strong believer and advocate of the marine environment. Hence, he founded a beauty pageant with a mission of “Saving the Oceans through Beauty.”

Recently, the National Geographic marked the Philippines as one of the Best Trips in 2016 and Palawan is one of the islands mentioned in the list.
