Set to take place on August 6–7, 2026, Salubong warmly welcomes the newest members of the UPCM community through two days of meaningful activities and celebration. This year’s theme, “Asterhaven: Charting the Voyage of the Nation’s Healers,” reimagines the start of medical school as the beginning of an extraordinary voyage. This exciting journey challenges students to grow not only as future physicians but also as compassionate leaders in service of the Filipino people.

At its heart, Salubong is more than an introduction; it is a bridge between incoming students and the UPCM community. Organized by the second-year class, the event fosters a sense of belonging by immersing freshmen in the college’s identity, culture, and traditions while creating opportunities to form friendships that will carry them through the years ahead.

Even if you are not an incoming medical student, there is still plenty to look forward to. On August 6, everyone is invited to explore the open-to-all partner booths located within the college grounds at the Henry Sy Building. Whether you are craving homemade poke bowls and fresh seafood-inspired dishes from Fiasfud, looking to upgrade your medical wardrobe with stylish and functional apparel from Gallo Scrubs, or hoping to take home exclusive Salubong merchandise, there is surely something that will make your visit worthwhile.

Beyond food and shopping, the booths offer a chance to support local businesses while experiencing the vibrant atmosphere within one of the country’s premier medical institutions. It is the perfect opportunity to meet students, connect with the community, and witness firsthand the enthusiasm that accompanies the beginning of another generation of future physicians.

As the newest batch of UPCM students embarks on a voyage dedicated to service, compassion, and excellence, Salubong celebrates not only the start of medical school but also the shared commitment to becoming healers for the nation.

So save the date and drop by on August 6–7, 2026. Whether you are stopping in for delicious eats, shopping for quality medical essentials, supporting local brands, or simply soaking in the excitement of a new academic year, Salubong 2026 promises an unforgettable experience worth being part of.
