If there’s anything we’ve learned this year about the music and entertainment industries, it’s that girl groups rule the world. We’re not just talking about the global idols that won our hearts, like BINI, KATSEYE, TWICE, BLACKPINK, among many others.
For pop culture enthusiasts, especially Filipinos, the girl group hype remains as strong as ever on Drag Race Philippines, where our favorite local drag artists serve pop star realness every season with iconic original songs.
The girl group challenge on Drag Race Philippines is one of the show’s easy standouts. Much like the international franchise, each Filipino queen gets to show their opponents, the judges, and the world who they are, as well as what they bring to the competition.

Contenders form two teams, write their own lyrics, record their verses, coordinate on cohesive outfits, and choreograph their final performance as if they’re an actual up-and-coming girl group.
Four seasons of the hit show have passed, yet the Drag Race Philippines queens continue to deliver catchy songs, unforgettable lyrics, and show-stopping dance routines as girl groups on the main stage. We can’t get enough of their exceptional numbers, which is why we’re ranking all of them—from fun and fierce to tens across the board.
This ranking will only cover the show’s girl group maxi challenge, not the top five semi-finalists’ super group challenge. The Drag Race Philippines queens deserve to shine equally, and these spectacular performances stand by that.
8. “Asian Eyyy!” – Slaymix (Slaysian Royale)
Members: Ivory Glaze, Kitty Space, Siam Phusri, Suki Doll, Sum Ting Wong, and Yuhua
Our homegrown queens may have dominated the competition on Slaysian Royale, but the show’s international representatives didn’t back down without a fight. They lit up the main stage as Slaymix with verses that showcased their diverse identities and cultures. Kitty Space’s creative lyrics and Sum Ting Wong’s stellar vocal runs were the cherry on top of their performance.
7. “Boogsh!” – Vlyungangühveoux (Season 2)
Members: Bernie Barrantes, Hana Beshie, ÖV C*nt, DeeDee Marie Holiday, Veruschka Levels, and Astrid Mercury
The first two episodes of Drag Race Philippines Season 2 introduced viewers to the twelve competing queens through dynamic group numbers. Vlyungangühveoux (pronounced voo-le-voo) took the stage with hard-hitting verses from Bernie Barrantes and Hana Beshie.
6. “Dapat Pakak” – Hard Pakakers (Season 3)
Members: Myx Chanel, John Fedellaga, Tita Baby, J-Quinn, and Yudipota
The third season of Drag Race Philippines (arguably the most iconic one yet) gave us numerous notable moments to look back on. One of which is the Hard Pakakers’ performance of “Dapat Pakak.” Though the group was off to a rocky start at rehearsals, they pulled through and rose to the challenge as a team.
5. “Boogsh!” – Pak Girls (Season 2)
Members: Matilduh, Captivating Katkat, M1ss Jade So, Arizona Brandy, Nicole Pardaux, and Tiny Deluxe
Nothing could stop the Pak Girls from giving fans a pilot episode to remember. The six queens opened the second season of Drag Race Philippines with radiant energy and unapologetic artistry, especially from instant fan favorites, M1ss Jade So and Arizona Brandy.
4. “Pop Off Ate” – Pink P*ssy Energy (Season 1)
Members: Precious Paula Nicole, Viñas Deluxe, Minty Fresh, Gigi Era, and Xilhouete
The competition on the show’s first season was intense in every sense of the word, especially when it came to girl groups. The members of Pink P*ssy Energy thrived on the main stage, equipped with experience, charisma, and impeccable vocals.
3. “Asian Eyyy!” – P-Nice (Slaysian Royale)
Members: Khianna, Bernie Barrantes, Brigiding, Viñas Deluxe, and Arizona Brandy
No one can deny the skills and star power of Filipino drag artists, especially in singing, dancing, and songwriting. The Pinay queens of Slaysian Royale went all-out as a girl group, complete with their signature moves and catchphrases, like Arizona Brandy’s “vape couture,” Viñas Deluxe’s “bongga, airtime lagi ang Misis,” and Bernie’s “kitang-kita ang angas ng Team Pilipinas.”
2. “Dapat Pakak” – Burakpak (Season 3)
Members: Maxie Andreison, Angel Galang, Khianna, Popstar Bench, Zymba Ding, and Versex
This song doesn’t have four million Spotify streams for nothing. Burakpak’s version of “Dapat Pakak” is a total package. Every single verse is iconic enough to get stuck in your head at first listen. This has everything you could ever look for in a girl group—Maxie’s flawless high notes, Zymba’s seamless choreography, cleverly written verses from Popstar Bench, Khianna, and Angel, as well as Versex’s sultry, chic, and nonchalant aura onstage.
1. “Pop Off Ate” – Flexbomb Girls (Season 1)
Members: Marina Summers, Eva Le Queen, Brigiding, Turing, and Lady Morgana
Nothing beats the Flexbomb Girls, the group that started it all. They are the well-deserved benchmark for girl group challenges on Drag Race Philippines. Their performance of “Pop Off Ate” was a breakthrough for the show’s first season. The song made “herstory” with verses like “Boom! Turing,” as well as Marina’s “Fine fresh fish on a silver platter, serving up like a five-star dinner” (which also birthed her “Filipina Winnah” moniker).
