7 Original Songs by “Drag Race PH” Queens That We’re Putting On Repeat

Drag Race Philippines has become home to numerous iconic songs that have transformed Filipino drag artists into masters of songwriting and performance. And when their catchy lyrics are paired with exceptional vocals and undeniable star power, our jaws drop every time.

Songs like “Pop Off, Ate,” “Boogsh!,” “Dapat Pakak,” and “Slay Accla” all started as challenges that helped the Drag Race PH queens hone their craft and shine equally onstage. But it wasn’t long before these smash hits took the nation by storm. The queens received so much love for their self-written lyrics that some of them even went on to become recording artists and songwriters after the competition.

These Filipino “Ru girls” are in their pop star eras, and we couldn’t be prouder. They’re making waves in the Original Pinoy Music (OPM) scene, and their songs are just the beginning of their highly deserved artistic breakthroughs.

Halika Na, Lika Na” – Maxie Andreison

Maxie Andreison, our current reigning Filipino Drag Superstar, welcomed the new year with a city pop track that hits all the right notes. If there’s anything “Halika Na, Lika Na” wants us to remember, it’s that we miss 100% of the shots we don’t take.

The music video features various familiar faces on social media, including Zeinab Harake-Parks and Bethany Talbot. Since its release this February, “Halika Na Lika Na” has garnered over ten million streams on Spotify and four million views on YouTube.

Walang Kaba” – Marina Summers

Our “Filipina Winnah,” Marina Summers, just solidified her untouchable status with this bad b*tch anthem, and we’re living for all two minutes and 48 seconds of it.

After “giving colonizers the chop” through her stellar run on Drag Race: UK VS The World Season 2, Marina has stayed booked and busy earning her stripes as a performer, recording artist, and master of her craft. She’s turning heads left and right, and we expect nothing less from the queen of summertime.

“Malaya” – Precious Paula Nicole

Malaya,” Precious Paula Nicole’s love letter to Pride Month, captures the purpose and meaning that drive our protests, advocacies, and conversations forward: to freely love, accept, and protect one another without harm, disdain, or prejudice. The upbeat single speaks fearlessly of setting our true colors free while inspiring us to keep working towards a world that fully celebrates them.

“Oh, Boy!” – Viñas Deluxe

Viñas Deluxe, the “Drag Pop Misis,” knows how to bring the party everywhere she goes. “Oh, Boy!” captures the high energy and feel-good vibes of Viñas’s self-titled EP, which also includes her upbeat 2024 single, “Misis,” and the emotional power ballad, “Bakit Ba Minamahal Kita.” Now, that’s a queen with undeniable range.

Bagong Buwan – J-Quinn

No Pride Month playlist is complete without a whimsical pop ballad brimming with all the feels that make your heart flutter. Drag Race PH Season 3’s J-Quinn is a true-blue musician in “Bagong Buwan,” a love song straight out of a dream you wish would never end. J-Quinn’s palpable chemistry with Cup of Joe’s frontman, Gian Bernardino, turns the “Bagong Buwan” music video into a sentimental spectacle reminiscent of our greatest loves and admirers.

“Slaysian Royale” and “High Time” – REYN4

When you put four of the country’s most renowned drag performers in one super group, you get REYN4, the “Drag Avengers” who are taking over Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale. Precious Paula Nicole, Marina Summers, Captivating Katkat, and Maxie Andreison channel their inner pop icons in “Slaysian Royale” and “High Time,” two special theme songs for the multinational competition’s semi-final challenge.

This week, the four super queens of REYN4 will help the remaining Slaysian Royale contestants form their own girl group. The competition is getting down to the wire, and we’re stoked to see their “joint slay” come to life.
