Music can be a handful of things for artists and dreamers at heart—a boundless source of inspiration, a platform for social change, and a judgment-free outlet that safekeeps our deepest sentiments, to name a few. For the emerging Filipino artists of the Eurovision Song Contest Asia, especially, music is a universal language that makes a striking case for our culture, history, and identities.

For decades, the Eurovision Song Contest has become home to some of the most lauded talents in Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. Every year, singer-songwriters from over 50 countries share the stage at the coveted celebration of diversity and artistry, which has brought prominence to hitmakers like ABBA, Céline Dion, Måneskin, and the late Olivia Newton-John.
This year, the Philippines will take part in a ground-breaking first—Eurovision’s very own competition for promising artists across Asia. Over the past few weeks, we’ve gotten to know the ten dynamic entries representing Original Pilipino Music (OPM) and Pinoy Pop (P-pop) on the global stage. And on August 30, 2026, only one of these finalists will earn a spot at the inaugural showcase.
We’re in for a fun-filled weekend like no other as the unkabogable “Queen of All Networks,” Vice Ganda, is set to host Eurovision Asia’s Philippine Selection Night live on iWant. Here’s what you should know about each participating entry:
“Between Bituin (Between Stars)” – DNA
P-pop’s sisterly trio isn’t here to mess around! The stars have truly aligned for Julia, Ezri, and Tasha Mitra of DNA, who are bringing this uplifting anthem to life with their powerful vocals and unparalleled charisma.
“Broken Beyond Repair” – SAGA
Tawag ng Tanghalan alumnus SAGA is getting all dolled up to pierce through our hearts with “Broken Beyond Repair.” Yearning takes a theatrical turn in this theme song for the perpetually lovesick.
“Cheri(e)” – Elha Nympha, Esang de Torres, Lance Reblando, Nar Cabico
Talk about a quartet of rising stars! Get your groove on with “Cheri(e),” a sultry single made extra spicy with powerhouse vocals and vibrant hints of city pop, bossa nova, and disco.
“Di Yan (Not Him/Red Flag)” – Jason Dy, Sassa Dagdag
Listening to “Di Yan” is much like trying to reason with the devil and angel on your shoulders at the same time. The warning signs are clear as day with the person you’re pursuing. And you know you’ve fallen deep when even they won’t stop you from defending them with your life.
“Good for You” – Ryssi Avila
“Good for You” is what you get when you’d willingly turn your entire existence inside-out for your one, true love. Idol Philippines alumna Ryssi Avila gets this point across as she hits all the right notes with utmost intensity.
“Mapadama (Make You Feel)” – JM dela Cerna, Marielle Montellano
From Tawag ng Tanghalan: Duets to Your Face Sounds Familiar and Eurovision Asia, the “Birit Duo” never fails to make us beam with pride (and kilig). JM dela Cerna and Marielle Montellano are kicking it old-school in this feel-good track that has us smiling from ear to ear.
“Make It Exist” – AJAA
Ash, JC, Axl, and Alex sure are on a roll this year! After the success of their sophomore EP, 4:ÜS, AJAA is lighting up the Eurovision Asia stage with “Make It Exist,” an upbeat tune that radiates with positivity.
“Reason to Live” – Khimo
No dream is too far out of reach for Idol Philippines Season 2 winner Khimo, whose lifelong goals have also been his “Reason to Live” every day. This song hits different for anyone who has never stopped believing in what they could achieve in the long run, even if it takes forever to get there.
“Round N’ Round” – VVINK, WRIVE’s Russu
Now, this is a P-pop crossover we didn’t know we needed. “Round N’ Round” proudly highlights the versatility and charisma that make VVINK and WRIVE’s Russu Laurente idols to watch. The dance floor is their domain with this electric anthem, elevated by its spunky hip-hop flair.
“Sobra-sobra (Too Much)” – Carmelle
What’s a competition without a little fierceness from our “New Gen Pop Diva?” Carmelle is tearing down every bit of negativity that comes her way in “Sobra-sobra,” an emphatic representation of the magic that happens when Filipinas drown out the noise and become the captains of their own ships.
