Former co-hosts Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda had a heartwarming reunion in California. On Instagram, Aquino shared photos of them and talked about their reunion, which delighted her fans.Â
She also revealed that her long-time friend interviewed her and hinted at releasing it to the public soon.
“ABANGAN! Seriously it was a heartwarming reunion. Boy freaked because i needed a shot while he was here. And he really hates needles,” she wrote.
The “Queen of All Media” said Abunda became emotional as she opened up about her struggles and treatments, “Nagkwento pa lang ako ng pinagdadaanan kong mga treatment at yung at least 18 pieces of vitamins, supplements, as well as medicine to help prevent my migraines and protect my liver because of my chemotherapy and of course my antihistamines… parang the whole 3 hours boy was here he was stopping himself from crying pero bumigay din sya talaga.” [sic].

She also apologized to the team of Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (KMJS) for not being able to accommodate their request for an interview and clarified that Abunda’s interview with her was impromptu, which was only filmed using a mobile phone with the help of her son Bimby and ex-partner Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste.
Aquino continued, “Boy never asked for anything pero sa laki ng utang na loob namin sa kanya, (the entire time he managed me for my endorsements as long as it was with my sons his commission was only from my 50%, buong buo for my 2 yung talent fee- lugi nga ako kasi yung 32-35% na tax sagot ko, bilin yun ng mom) binigay ko ng buong buo yung medyo naputol ng ilang beses na footage.”

The 52-year-old even thanked the Batangueños for allowing Leviste to accompany her, “Maraming salamat sa mga Batangueño sa pagpapahiram ng inyong vice governor. But in a few days babalik na sya sa PH at sa Pasko, kasama ng 3 anak nya na kaming lahat magsasama. (Christmas is also his birthday.)”
She concluded her post by writing a heartfelt advance birthday message to Abunda, “Happy Birthday (Oct 29) to the keeper of all my secrets, the one who assured me that come what may he’ll be there for my sons, and the friend who until now fights my battles with me. To my other brother, i love you completely. #lovelovelove.”

Aquino and Abunda previously hosted the morning talk and lifestyle show Boy & Kris and the entertainment news program Aquino & Abunda Tonight. In 2022, Aquino moved to the U.S. to receive treatments for several autoimmune diseases.
