SB19 gained its well-deserved recognition from the Philippine Senate after becoming the first Filipino act to perform at Lollapalooza… and this time, the phenomenal P-pop group will ensure that its platform is used for the greater good.

Senate Resolution 545, filed and sponsored by Senator Bam Aquino, lauded SB19 members Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin for proudly representing Filipino talent on the international stage in July 2026.
While the Senate recognition spotlighted SB19’s undeniable talent, the P-pop group, along with Senator Aquino, revealed to have joined forces to come up with a bill that will benefit the creative industry.
According to Aquino, they will work on a bill that would establish a government institution dedicated to supporting artists and the creative industries. This is similar to the Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), a government agency dedicated to promoting the welfare of Korean creatives, who have put Korea on the map through their outstanding contributions to culture and the arts.
If the bill is enacted into law, this will set a precedent for the general welfare of both aspiring and established creatives in the Philippines, where they will get the support and resources they need to thrive.
In an Instagram post, SB19 wrote that having a huge opportunity to be in talks with the Senate would “make the path wider for those who come next.”

“A historic day for all Filipino creatives,” SB19 wrote.
“We’re deeply grateful to be part of this conversation and to everyone working toward a future where more Filipino creatives can dream, create, and take their work beyond our borders. Maraming salamat po!” it added.
SB19 is a beloved P-pop group best known for their chart-topping hits, including “GENTO,” “Visa,” “DUNGKA,” and “Dam,” among others.
