Lagen Island and Raffles Makati each received Two Michelin Keys, while Pangulasian Island and Fairmont Makati each received One Michelin Key. Together, the four properties represent distinct expressions of hospitality, from the quiet shores of Palawan to the heart of Makati.

The Michelin Key is the Michelin Guide’s hotel distinction, equivalent to the Michelin Star in the restaurant world. It recognizes hotels that deliver an exceptional stay, with One Key signifying a very special experience and Two Keys reserved for stays that Michelin considers exceptional. In the Philippines’ 2026 selection, Lagen Island and Raffles Makati are the country’s only Two Michelin Key hotels.

“We are deeply honored to have four of our properties recognized by the Michelin Guide. It is a meaningful affirmation of the teams behind these hotels and island resorts, and the care they put into every guest experience,” said Gustavo Morales, chief operating officer of Ayala Land Hospitality. “What makes this especially meaningful is the diversity of the experiences represented here. From our island sanctuaries in Palawan to our luxury hotels in Makati, each property has its own character and sense of place, while sharing our commitment to thoughtful, distinctly Filipino hospitality.”

For Lagen Island, the Two Michelin Key recognition comes as the resort enters a new chapter following a year-long transformation. A reimagined eco-sanctuary, Lagen has returned with renewed spaces, refined experiences, and a deeper connection between its architecture, the surrounding landscape, and Filipino craftsmanship. Its new chapter is guided by a simple philosophy: Where nature guides, connections blossom.

Across Bacuit Bay, Pangulasian Island has received One Michelin Key for its distinctive expression of quiet island luxury. Known as the “Island of the Sun,” the private island retreat offers an unhurried escape surrounded by the natural beauty of El Nido. Here, days unfold at the pace of the sea, with personalized experiences, secluded spaces, and the understated pleasures of island life.

In Makati, Raffles Makati has been awarded Two Michelin Keys, recognizing its distinctive interpretation of the legendary Raffles tradition. The all-suite hotel pairs timeless elegance and intuitive service with a distinctly Filipino approach to hospitality, creating an intimate luxury experience in the heart of the city.

Fairmont Makati, awarded One Michelin Key, offers a contemporary expression of five-star hospitality, with spacious accommodations, sophisticated dining, and wellness experiences in the center of Makati’s premier business and lifestyle district. Together with Raffles Makati, it creates a complementary pairing of luxury experiences, each with its own character and rhythm.
