Kris Aquino is happy to reunite with her long-time friend Kim Chiu, whom she called “panganay” or first child. This was the first time they saw each other again after the former moved to the U.S. in 2022 to receive treatments for several autoimmune diseases.
In an Instagram post, Aquino expressed her gratitude to the Kapamilya actress for visiting her. She also uploaded a clip of their reunion and chitchat.Â
“All i can say is i love you, i super appreciate your effort to visit, and even if it was a gloomy day, you were the much needed reminder that after all the storms, we can look forward to a RAINBOW,” [sic] she wrote.

Aquino emphasized that seeing Chiu made her biological injectable “50% less painful” and asked her to visit often. She continued, “Thank you for until now (16 years & counting) genuinely caring for and trusting me.”
The Queen of All Media revealed that her ex-partner, Batangas Vice Governor Mark Leviste, recorded the video and helped make the touching reunion possible.Â
She also thanked her youngest son, Bimby, “Thank you bimb for helping us realize all the things we needed to repair in order to strengthen our commitment.”

Aquino concluded her post by thanking everyone who prayed for her and giving health updates, “Roughly 15 more months of treatment, but i’m alive and hopeful; tuloy ang LABAN, bawal sumuko.”
In the comments section, the Linlang star replied, “I love you so much ate, so so so much. Ngayon alam ko na saan ako mag message. Thank you so much to sir @markleviste for reaching out. Super happy ako. Happy ako to talk and see you ate after so many years. Love u ate.”
Aquino and Chiu, who have been good friends for 16 years, previously worked together for a romantic drama film, Etiquette for Mistresses, in 2015.
