THE FOOD
Caffe Bene offers a good variety of food and waffles to go with your signature coffee. First, we were served with Liège Waffle with Blueberry Cream Cheese (Php165). You can be a little more creative and choose your own toppings!
The sweetness of blueberry and ample serving of cream cheese is just perfect for this waffle.
What makes the Liège Waffle extra special is that it is made of dough, and not made of batter (mixture used to make pancakes). It is a secret to keep the caramelized sugar on top and to hold the toppings, preventing them to slid off the plate and missing the whole waffle experience.
The Caramel Banana Cream Waffle (Php165) is tall and proud. That’s how the dough mixture works for the Caffe Bene’s Liege Waffle.
This flavor is a classic and always a favorite!
This one is an interesting offering from Caffe Bene, it is called Honey Bread and the below is Garlic & Cheese (Php165) variant. You may compare it with toasted bread and cheese bread, but this one is a lot tastier as the bread is soft while the edges are crunchy-perfect.
The experience of eating it is the same as having a pizza – especially when you are with group of friends, and you fight for the slice with the yummiest toppings.
Another interesting offering from Caffe Bene is the Bingsu. It is a popular snack from Korea popular during the summer season. Bingsu is composed of various fruits such as strawberry, kiwi, rice cake, jelly bits and cereal flakes topped with milk and served with shaved ice. Yes, it is like their version of our Halo Halo.
Strawberry Bingsu (Large Php215, Huge Php280)
This is perfect for sharing, as the serving is really LARGE and HUGE. You might want to ask the barista for the size samples first before ordering. The other two flavors are Coffee Bingsu and Red Bean Bingsu.
I know you are nodding and telling yourself, it is perfect for the summer!
