Hotel Sogo Just Dropped a Year-Round ‘Pride Pass’ for Safe Spaces and Discounts

Hotel Sogo officially launched its Pride Pass that brings together hospitality leaders, business stakeholders, and prominent LGBTQIA+ advocacy groups to introduce a functional ecosystem that turns daily consumer commerce into continuous community support. By embedding permanent advocacy directly into lifestyle, wellness, and hospitality sectors, the project addresses growing consumer fatigue over temporary corporate participation.

The initiative relies on an extensive cross-industry partner network designed to provide tangible value to pass holders while verifying inclusive spaces. The Pride Pass grants users a 22 percent discount on room accommodations at Hotel Sogo alongside a 10 percent discount on food purchases. Beyond the hotel properties, holders can access exclusive discounts at a diverse range of partner brands, including Figaro Coffee, Angel’s Pizza, Cut Encarnacion Group of Salon, Ideal Vision, and Stella Advanced Medical Aesthetics, alongside support from event sponsors Mogu-Mogu, Anghel Kape, Medtribe Pharma, and Hikari Skin Essentials.

During the launch event, Hotel Sogo management framed the program as a structural shift in corporate diversity. Jerald Gatchalian, Hotel Manager for Hotel Sogo Mindanao Avenue, stated that the project stems from a mandate to provide welcoming, dignified accommodations for all travelers, while Corporate Marketing Head Sue Geminiano explained that the network bridges the gap between commercial brands and localized advocacy. A diverse panel of community leaders—including representatives from Pride PH, LoveYourself Inc., 1LGBT Filipinas, Ubiquity Global Services, and the Ladlad Partylist—also used the platform to speak on the critical intersections of workplace inclusion, public health, and civil rights.

By shifting the narrative away from seasonal corporate branding, the Pride Pass ecosystem sets a unique precedent for private-sector allyship in the Philippines. By linking daily consumer activity directly to verified inclusive establishments, the initiative demonstrates a sustainable method for businesses to honor diversity pledges. Industry observers note that the strategy successfully transforms corporate social responsibility into a functional, year-round infrastructure that provides a practical template for inclusive hospitality moving forward.
