WATCH: The Newly-installed Lights in Lawton Have a Touch of Filipino Culture

A few days ago, the official Facebook page of Mayor Isko Moreno posted a live video about one of his projects in Manila. The new project featured in the video was the lighting installation along Lawton. Here’s the twist: the newly installed lights have a touch of Filipino culture! Aside from being helpful at night, we must say that it’s also nice to look at.

“Palagyan ng mala-Pilipino na konsepto. Yung mga capiz para dun sa park natin. Tinanggal natin ang obstruction for six years. Ngayon tignan natin ang mga epekto sa gabi ng mga capiz lighting,” explained the mayor. You can watch the video from Mayor Isko’s official Facebook page below.

In the video, Mayor Isko Moreno even struck a conversation with two passersby and asked them what they thought about the project. One of them replied by saying that she feels safer now that the street lights have been installed. Here’s to hoping that Manila will continue to become a safe place!
