Set against the lush landscape of Pattaya, Thailand, the adventure of Wonderfruit Festival eagerly awaits.
December 17 to 20. At The Fields at Siam Country Club, in the picturesque province of Pattaya, just 150km southeast of Bangkok. Wonderfruit 2015 will be the third phase of Thailand’s premiere eco-conscious and sustainability-driven festival destination presenting world renowned live performers and homegrown musical acts.
The line acts include New York’s indie trio Blonde Redhead, Jacques Greene, Austria’s emerging techno stars HVOB, No Regular Play, DJ Aaron James, Harts, and more officially join the already impressive menagerie of musicians like Yasiin Bey, The Faint, Rhye, Goldroom, Daedelus, and the world premiere of Jon Hopkins x Chris Levine’s audiovisual collaboration, the iy_project. This third wave also features a line up of regional talents including Horja Bius, Rajasthan Roots, Karsh Kale, DJ Dragon, The Asawin Band, Taibaan, DJ Por Yai, Sombat Simlah, The Sticky Rice Band, and Beatles tribute group The Beatle Nuts, coming from across Asia and Thailand.
If you’re ready to feast on more than just music over the weekend, Bo.Lan, Err, and The Oyster Bar will take charge with an array of mouthwatering dishes as part of the Wonder Feasts series. Bo.Lan will be leading Friday’s dinner with authentic Thai cuisine with a sense of home-cooked comfort and a contemporary twist – a combination that has seen it included among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Experience some healthy, lighter dishes for lunch on Saturday with Err before the world-famous Chef Gaggan takes the stage with traditional Indian cuisine cooked over charcoal. Get ready for the perfect meal to energize you for the last full day of Wonderfruit as New York-born Chef Bill Marinelli from The Oyster Bar will bring you a suitably decadent alfresco Sunday brunch starting with oysters direct from Seattle, accompanied by a glass of bubbly.
In addition to delectable eats, come brush up your swing dancing skills with Bangkok Swing, learn hammock weaving and wood carving with Kru Somsri and Kru Kumjun Yano, and relax with May Nogoy x Papercutz at their Soulful Yoga class. Get creative designing something eco-friendly with your kids while listening to Isabella and Melati Wijsen explain their initiative to rid Bali of plastic bags entirely at the Bye Bye Plastic Bags x trash fashion show in the pop up Green School – all new additions to this year’s Talks & Workshops.
Book all your festival-forward looks through the dedicated FAB-app, which makes its debut at this year’s Wonderfruit and get glamorous hair and makeup styling, custom-designed for Wonderfruit, by visiting FABBRIGADE in the Wonder Salon.
