In an announcement. the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO) announced that the Philippine government has extended visa-free privilege for Taiwanese travelers for another year. This will remain in effect starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026, until Wednesday, June 30, 2027.

MECO said that the extension aligns with the government’s reciprocal policy on visa-free travel privileges for Filipino travelers visiting Taiwan.

With this, the visa-free privilege remains non-extendible. It cannot be converted into other Philippine visa categories.

Moreover, Taiwanese travelers who wish to extend their stay in the Philippines for more than 14 days must obtain the appropriate visa before entering the country.
