According to a published report by Taiwan Times, the Tourism Administration is set to reward repeat international travelers as part of efforts to boost inbound tourism.
Repeat visitors may receive NT$5,000 (over ₱9,500), and if they bring a friend, they may also be eligible for an additional NT$3,000 (over ₱5,700). This brings the total incentive to an estimated ₱15,000.
TaiwanPlus noted that the bonus is particularly aimed at Japanese tourists, who recorded the highest number of arrivals from January to April 2026, with over 466,000 visitors. However, the incentive remains open to all international travelers.
While Japan topped the data with the most tourist arrivals, the Philippines ranked fourth with nearly 300,000 visitors.
During the first quarter of the year, Taiwan welcomed over 2.9 million tourists, reflecting a 3.8 percent increase compared to the same period in 2025.
