This Behind-The-Scenes Look At ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker’ Reveals So. Much.

It’s a bit strange to come from the heightened secrecy of Avengers: Endgame and Game of Thrones to see another franchise freely giving away information on their penultimate installation. Hopefully, this ending follows the more successful example rather than the less-than-satisfying one.

Based on Vanity Fair s coverage and insider information, it does look like there’s quite a lot to be excited for.

In terms of new places and faces, Rise of Skywalker will be having those in abundance. The obvious ones are those guessed at from the trailer, like the Knights of Ren:

Another newcomer is Allegiant General Pryde, played by Richard E. Grant:

Then we have Finn riding alongside Jannah (Naomi Ackie) who is described as an “ally”. They are supposedly “leading the charge against the mechanized forces of the First Order” here:

Last, but definitely not the least, is Keri Russell’s masked scoundrel Zorri Bliss:

New locations disclosed by the film’s director, J.J. Abrams, include Pasaana and Kijimi.

Pasaana is a desert planet “on the edge of the galaxy”, while Kijimi is a snowy planet “home to a shadowy Thieves’ Quarter”.

The Rise of Skywalker also promises to go back on what we already know and deepen that lore. The origins of the First Order are a promised area that the film dips into. Another is exploring the Skywalker bloodline once again, and delving into the power and relationships that lie there. Then there is the awaited reunion of Lando Calrissian with the Millennium Falcon:
