With games like Pokemon and Animal Crossing getting more and more traction, Switch became Nintendo’s Best-Selling Console ever.
Since its launch in 2017, it sold over 103.54 million units, surpassing its previous best-seller Wii‘s 101.63 million. They have sold 81.68m Nintendo Switch OG, 17.87m Nintendo Switch Lite, and 3.99m Nintendo Switch OLED. As of the 3rd quarter of 2021, Nintendo sold over a 10.67million units of the OLED model.
Though the milestone calls for celebration, Nintendo saw a sales decline year over year. The company decreased its sales forecast to 23 million units from their previous forecast of 24 million units.
Game sales have performed well as the company has seen high quarterly sales with the games Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl,  Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,  Mario Party Superstars, and Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Nintendo’s all-time best-selling games hardware remains to be the Nintendo DS with over 154.02 million units sold.
