If you’re watching the “fight of the century” between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather tomorrow, Meralco has assured that there will be no brownouts in the five million households in the coverage of the electric distribution facility.
According to Meralco senior assistant vice president Rolando Cagampan, Sundays usually register low demand, and is 20 to 25 percent lower than other days of the week.
He said:
We’re good. If the NGCP (National Grid Corporation of the Philippines) system goes down then that will be a problem.
Otherwise, we are in good shape on May 3.
That means subscribers will be able to watch and cheer for the Pacman in peace, without any electric interruptions.
