Michelle Madrigal has just revealed on Instagram that she and her husband Troy Woolfolk are officially separating.
The former actress and current fitness enthusiast shared a photo of them together as she confirmed the breakup rumors to friends and fans over the weekend.
“Here it is… Y’all have been asking us for awhile now… We didn’t have to but we’ve shared our lives with y’all in the past so here we are today,” she began.
She then explained that although they are divorcing, they will remain good friends co-parents to their daughter Anika.
“We only wanted to share this to be transparent due to the amount of DM’s and comments we get from y’all,” she said.
“We hope that you guys can give us the space and respect with our decision. We thank everyone for all the love and support you have given The Woolfolk family. We will always have love for each other and cherish the good times rather than the bad ones.”
It did seem that all is well between them as Troy took to the comments to remark in jest: “But damn we sho did look good together.”
Troy also took to his own Instagram account to agree that they “have no drama” and “are still cool.”
“I will always love @mitch_madrigal cause she is the mother of my child that we will co-parent together. I still love everyone in her family and will continue to treat them like my own,” he added.
“Ultimately we decided we’re probably better friends than husband and wife. She still loves me, I still love her, because we have our baby daughter who we’ll be co-parenting. We still have that friendship, just not companionship in the sense of marriage.”
Michelle met Troy back in 2016 in Texas, USA while taking up culinary arts there. She gave birth to Anika, their only child, in 2017 and then later got married in 2019.
