Actress and host Gee Canlas once again made a lasting impression.

The actress has finally capped off her strong performance at a health and fitness competition, finishing in the Top 8 and bagging a Superbods Ageless Award. This recognition comes after a year of rebuilding through fitness, work, and motherhood.
In a heartfelt Instagram statement, she recalled everything she had to go through before and during the competition.

“I keep thinking about everything I had to go through just to make it to that stage. There were moments that tested my faith, my strength, and made me question where all of this was leading. And then there I was, standing on that stage—and I’ve ever felt more alive,” she wrote.
“I had to work harder, get stronger, keep my head in the game, and show up even on the days when I was tired and overwhelmed,” she added.
She also noted how this achievement is something she can look back on when she is older. Moreover, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who has become a part of her journey.
“This experience reminded me all over again just how loved and supported I am,” she concluded.”I [will] be sharing more from this incredible experience, but for now I’m happy I got my color back and I’ll do my best to never lose it again. Cheers to our Muchness!!”
Apart from winning the ageless award, what made everyone applaud her even more was during the Q&A portion of the event. She was asked how she keeps going during times she wants to give up.

“Through every challenge, I kept thinking: What would make him proud of his mom? What will he remember from watching me?” she pondered in a separate Instagram post. “I want him to know that you can get knocked down, but you don’t have to stay down. There’s always a next step, as long as you’re willing to take it.”
Despite everything she has faced, she conquered her own battles. Through her platform, influence, and her most recent win at the competition, she is living proof that single mothers can always start over and eventually find their lifelong purpose.
