Former actress Michelle Madrigal just opened up that she is ready to start dating again, four months after she legalized her divorce from former football player Troy Woolfolk.
In her YouTube Q&A vlog published last August 20, she revealed that a handful of netizens have sent her questions regarding her love life at the moment to which she confirmed: “I started dating.”
Continuing, she said, “I was already casually dating before but I never posted anybody because I was also not emotionally available. I was just trying to see what dating feels like again because you don’t know what you’re doing after being married and being a parent. But yes, I’ve started seeing someone recently and I think we’re in a very good place.”
She also told fans that she doesn’t want to refer to her new mystery man as her “boyfriend” as she feels that it’s “so odd” for her “as a 33-year-old woman” to claim that she has a boyfriend since their relationship hasn’t reached that level yet. “I don’t wanna put any label dahil hindi naman importante ‘yon (because that isn’t important). We have an understanding. I think we’re pretty much on the same page. He’s also divorced, he’s also got kids. I think it was just a good, I would say, match sa lifestyle ko and sa lifestyle niya (match to my lifestyle and his lifestyle).”
She admitted that she realized that it was hard for her to connect with someone who hasn’t had kids because she feels they would “clash” in terms of their priorities, particularly because she values her time with her daughter Anika, whom she co-parents with her ex-husband, and also with herself.
“It’s really important to find ‘yung [the] person that you guys are also on that same page, that same level [with], [and] you guys have an open communication. And it feels nice to have that person again,” she added.
She also hopes that she will eventually find a “life partner” and that she will “see how it goes” with her new relationship.
