LOOK: This Cebuano artist showcased landmarks in Cebu using fab cutout dresses

The person behind these fabulous cutouts is a fresh graduate of Cebu Normal University named Marc Loria Brua, a 20 years old artist who has a degree in Bachelor of Science in Education Major in Physical Science.

Marc already went viral last December 2018 when he illustrated Miss Universe 2019 Catriona Gray’s fiery gown. He also cut out the dress and made the red candles at the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu the cloth of the dress.

Now, he’s back again and this time he made sure to showcase different landmarks in Cebu. Which he pretty much nailed it.

According to Marc, his inspiration in creating these cutouts is the Armenian artist, Edgar Artis. Edgar is a fashion illustrator who uses everyday objects and paper cutouts to complete his beautiful drawings. In Marc’s works, he didn’t use any object.

Instead, he just showcased the beauty of Cebu.

During an interview with CDN Digital, he stated…

I was inspired by the historical landmarks of Cebu. I thought it was a good idea to combine my artworks with these landmarks because I’m not only promoting my artworks but also the rich heritage of Cebu.

Marc is an aspiring fashion designer and he hopes that one day he will be able to study and pursue his dream.
