Social media was abuzz the past week after the controversial breakup between Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. There were photos, cryptic Instagram posts, even more mysterious Instagram Stories, and a video where Alonzo revealed how the separation happened (it’s almost too painful to watch). Now, Anderson’s ex-girlfriend Maja Salvador weighed in on the issue.
During the launch of her upcoming series The Killer Bride, she was asked her thoughts on what happened. Here’s what she had to say: “Ayaw ko nang sumali. Masaya ako. Ayaw ko nang sumali, ayaw ko nang sumagot. (Ang) sa akin, kung pwede lang po, wala na ako d’yan.” [“I don’t want to join. I’m happy. I don’t want to join and I don’t want to answer. I’m not involved in the matter.”]
She added, “Sana hayaan nating silang lahat mag-heal dahil hindi madali ang may pinagdadaanan, so ‘wag na tayong sumabay, ‘wag na nating gatungan kasi at the end of the day, lahat tayo tao na nasasaktan at marami tayong mga bagay na mas kailangan na asikasuhin na mas importante.” [“I hope we can allow them to heal because what they’re going through is not easy. Let’s not add to the drama because at the end of the day, we all get hurt. There are more important things to deal with.”].
The issue began when photos of Anderson with Julia Barretto surfaced online. Alonzo then began posting cryptic posts on Instagram alluding to the situation. Days later, she revealed that she did not know that her relationship with Anderson was over, and that they only stopped talking.
