This easy no-bake Tiramisu recipe is perfect for beginners

If you’re a newbie in the kitchen, need something to keep the kids busy during quarantine, or don’t have time to whip up something grand; this no-bake tiramisu could do the trick. An easier take on the highly popular Italian dessert, this version by mommy blogger Mitze Baleña (IG: @_misisb) may not have mascarpone cheese, but it still has that creamy coffee kick that we all know and love.

Ingredients

  • 20-25 pieces of Ladyfingers (Broas)
  • 2 boxes of all-purpose cream (250ml each), chilled
  • 1/2 tbsp of white sugar
  • 1/2 tsp of vanilla extract
  • 3 tsp of instant coffee
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 2 tbsp of cocoa powder

Procedure

  1. Whip your chilled all-purpose cream on high speed with your electric hand or stand mixer. Add sugar and vanilla extract and keep mixing until soft peaks form. Set aside.
  2. Mix your warm water and instant coffee. Dip your Ladyfingers in the mixture one at a time. Remember not to soak the Ladyfingers for too long; otherwise, they’ll get soggy.
  3. Carefully lay out your coffee-soaked Ladyfingers in a deep glass dish. Spread some whipped cream mixture on top and repeat with another layer of Ladyfingers. Repeat until you fill the dish with the top layer being whipped cream.
  4. Dust the top with cocoa powder using a sieve.
  5. Cover with cling wrap and let your tiramisu chill in the fridge overnight or until it fully sets.
  6. When ready, cut and serve. Enjoy!
