On April 18, the travel and food website unveiled its ranking of “50 Best Chicken Dishes.” In the list, inasal took the third spot as the best-rated Filipino dish with a score of 4.4.

Inasal na manok is a unique Filipino grilled chicken dish which originated in Western Visayas and became the signature dish of the entire region. It employs various chicken cuts marinated in a mixture of vinegar and numerous spices such as lemongrass, garlic, and ginger,” the description read on its website.

In 2024, this beloved Bacolod classic dominated the food website’s “Top 100 Filipino Foods” ranking.

Meanwhile, adobong manok clinched the 40th spot with a score of 4.1.

It read: “Adobong manok is a traditional stew originating from the Philippines. This type of Filipino adobo is made with a combination of chicken, garlic, onions, bay leaves, peppercorns, oil, brown sugar, soy sauce, and white vinegar.”

Meanwhile, South Korea’s fried chicken topped the rankings. The Korean fried chicken gained mainstream popularity due to its “unique preparation methods, distinct flavors, and crunchy texture,” such as the double frying technique and incorporating different sauces like spicy gochujang, honey butter, and soy garlic.
