A whirlwind of rumors and speculation have recently been surrounding celebrity couple Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo. They implicate Julia Barretto, Gerald’s co-star in Between Maybes, as a possible third party in the relationship. We’ve covered the timeline and all the talk concerning the three previously, but mind you — it is all talk so far. And this is something Julia’s older sister, Dani Barretto, would like people to keep in mind.

Dani allegedly tweeted on her private account: “Nag-usap lang sa party, at may chismosang nag-decide mag-picture, cheating na agad? Bawal ang ‘hi’ sa isa’t isa, bawal magkamustahan? Cheating na agad ‘yun?! They worked together!! Of course, they’re friends! Pati ‘yun bawal na din?” [So they just spoke at a party and a gossip happened to take a photo, it’s cheating right away? They can’t say hi to each other, they can’t greet each other? It’s cheating right away?! They worked together!! Of course, they’re friends! Even that isn’t acceptable anymore?]

In a follow-up tweet, Dani questioned why any allegations without proof should be believed. Meanwhile, Julia’s mother Marjorie Baretto has similarly been defending her daughter and considering legal action against the anonymous account which originally posted the photos.
