Apple has officially announced the iPhone 17e, a new addition to the iPhone 17 lineup that aims to provide high performance at a more accessible price point. The latest model introduces a significant shift in value, as the base storage has been doubled to 256GB.

The iPhone 17e is powered by the next generation A19 chip. This hardware allows the device to handle complex tasks and gaming with ease. Apple also included the C1X cellular modem, which offers speeds up to twice as fast as the previous iPhone 16e while using less power to help maintain all-day battery life.
The device features a 48MP Fusion camera system that allows users to capture high-resolution photos and 4K video. A key highlight of this system is the optical quality 2x Telephoto feature, which effectively gives users two lenses in one camera body. The software also supports next generation portraits, allowing for automatic depth sensing and the ability to adjust focus points after a photo is taken.

The 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display now includes Ceramic Shield 2. This updated glass provides three times better scratch resistance than previous models and reduces reflection for better visibility in direct sunlight.
Built with aerospace-grade aluminum, the iPhone 17e is designed to be both lightweight and durable. It holds an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The phone also introduces the Action button to this model, giving users a way to quickly access the flashlight, camera, or other favorite features with a single press.
The new model will be available in three colors: black, white, and a new soft pink. Each color features a premium matte finish on the back glass.
The iPhone 17e starts at ₱44,990 for the 256GB model. It will also be available in a 512GB capacity. Pre-order dates for the Philippine market are expected to be announced soon.
