Apple is set to distribute 170,000 units of MacBook Neos across more than 16,000 Philippine K-12 public schools, benefiting educators and students as learning becomes more digital than ever!
According to Apple, CEO John Ternus confirmed that the tech giant landed its biggest institutional educational deal with the Department of Education (DepEd).
This move will be a part of DepEd Computerization Program (DCP)’s integration, where students, teaching staff, and non-teaching personnel in public schools will be equipped with the digital skills necessary for a more holistic and interactive learning.
Released in March 2026, the MacBook Neo is regarded as Apple’s most affordable laptop. According to Apple’s website, it features a “13-inch Liquid Retina display, the power of Apple silicon, and all-day battery life.”
With its lightweight design and budget-friendly price point, this laptop delivers reliable performance for students and individuals who need a dependable device for everyday tasks, productivity, and browsing.
As of writing, the MacBook Neo starts at ₱49,990.
