For those who missed it, the original Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place created by Todd J. Greenwald ran from 2007 to 2012. It follows the story of the Russo family as the children navigate the challenges of adolescence while mastering their wizardry. Aside from Selena Gomez and David Henrie, it also stars Jake T. Austin (Max Russo), Maria Canals-Barrera (Theresa Russo), David DeLuise (Jerry Russo), and Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle).

This was followed by a TV special in 2013 called “The Wizards Return: Alex Vs. Alex” (excluding Henrie).

Aside from Wizards of Waverly Place, Selena Gomez and David Henrie also worked together in the 2020 movie This Is the Year, where Henrie was part of the cast and served as the director, and Gomez served as an executive producer.
