Last weekend, my friends and I were craving for a “healthy food trip” so we all decided to visit Nurture Wellness Village in Tagaytay!
You see, it was here at Nurture Wellness Tagaytay where I learned and became aware about health and well, ness so I’m really thankful that I discovered them years ago. I’ve learned so much from them especially from their owner Ma’am Cathy Turvil in terms of food choices and organic food. So when my friends asked me about our guiltless trip, the first thing that came to my mind was of course Nurture Wellness Tagaytay!
All guests at Nurture Wellness Village are greeted in a way so special!
Truth is, even before the boom of juicing and detox juices this year, Nurture Wellness Village has already been offering and recommending healthy juices to their guests even before 2012, making them one of the forerunners of the health and wellness revolution here in the Philippines.

Anyways, that afternoon, we enjoyed a refreshing and guilt-less Juice Party!
the best “inuman” in the world!
Thank you to Sir Gerald for giving us a free demo
I believe we had at least 2 kinds of juices but my personal favorite was their juice which is according to them is believed to be effective in preventing cancer! So today, I’d like to share with you this super easy recipe because I believe (and I’m sure you’d agree) that prevention is still better than cure! Since there is no cure yet for the big C, we need to ensure prevention.
For this recipe, we only need to remember this….. P.O.C.K! (pineapple+orange+cucumber+kale)
Here’s the recipe:
-100 gms Pineapple
(It has the enzyme bromelain – prevents cancer and fights cancer if you have it. It minimizes also the effect of radiation therapy)
– 1 Orange
(Antioxidant, Rich in Vitamin C, Rich in potassium, Anti Cancer properties)
– 50 gms Cucumber
(It has phytonutrients- betacarotene, manganese, flavonoid antioxidants, lignans and triterpenes which are anticancer, has anti-inflammatory effect and antioxidant)
– 2 to 3 leaves of Kale
(Good source of calcium, Good source of protein, Good source of iron, Good source of Vitamin K, Good source of Vitamin A, RICH in Antioxidant that fights cancer)
Just mix the pineapple, orange, cucumber, kale, ½ glass of cold water, 3 to 4pcs of ice cubes and no sweetener (or pure honey). Blend it together for 2 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
This juice turned out as my most favorite! I never thought something this delicious could bring so much goodness to my body as well. What I love most about it is that, the ingredients are relatively very affordable and easy to buy from your local market. If you don’t have Kale, I believe you can also replace it with moringga (malunggay) leaves as it’s also a very powerful superfood!
I highly recommend you try to at home!!
And because I would like to treat your family to a great family experience at Nurture Wellness Village, I’m giving away A FAMILY Hilot Massage for 4!!
