ParaƱaque City Now Placed Under 24-hour Curfew

Despite the enhanced community quarantine in Luzon, many LGUs have taken more preventative measures to prevent the COVID-19 spread. With this, ParaƱaque City is now under a 24-hour curfew starting March 23.

In an interview with DZMM on Monday morning,Ā ParaƱaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez announced that they have implemented a 24-hour curfew amid the Enhanced Community Quarantine in the region. He also said that home quarantine passes were already given to each family. This allows one person per family to go out and buy essential supplies amid the curfew.

The mayor also mentioned that the Metro Manila Council will also hold a meeting to discuss whether or not they will impose a 24-hour curfew in the whole region.Ā So far, places like Las PiƱas and Muntinlupa have already imposed a 24-hour curfew.

As of writing, the COVID-19 virus has infected over 396 people in the country. There have been 33 reported fatalities and 18 recoveries so far.
