Amid the COVID-19 outbreak, Meralco announced its maintenance schedules for this week, March 16 – March 22, 2020. The maintenance schedule covers a number of places in Luzon and Metro Manila.

In a Facebook post by Meralco last Friday, March 13, they explain the reason for the power interruptions as it details their maintenance schedules for the week. The Facebook post is as follows:
This maintenance schedule comes as people are dealing with the problems brought by the COVID-19 outbreak, including the month-long community quarantine imposed in Metro Manila. However, Meralco assures its customers that all efforts are being exerted to restore their customer’s electricity the soonest possible time.
In addition, Meralco has also advised its customers to transact with them via Meralco Online and the Meralco Mobile app. This is to prioritize the health and safety of their customers during this time of the COVID-19 Virus.
