Sarah Geronimo was set to take the stage at one of the most anticipated music festivals in Clark, Pampanga, today (May 2). However, following an examination by her physician after rehearsals this morning, Sarah Geronimo was advised to undergo a full rest.
“We sincerely apologize to the organizers of the Aurora Music Festival,” Sarah Geronimo’s management team wrote. “This situation was entirely unforeseen, and we recognize the significant impact this last-minute withdrawal places on the event and everything that has gone into it. We are truly grateful for the understanding and professionalism of the organizing team.”
They also stated that the tough decision to withdraw “was necessary to ensure she can recover properly,” and reassured fans and organizers that Sarah Geronimo “values every opportunity to be on stage and connect.”
“We hope you can extend your understanding and support during this time, and we look forward to sharing more updates on her recovery and upcoming plans soon,” they concluded.
Aurora Music Festival delivered the heartbreaking update on its social media as well. In continued support of the icon, it wrote, “Your Aurora fam will just be here sending prayers and well wishes for your fast recovery, @SarahGeronimo. The Aurora stage stands ready and will always be here to welcome the return of our Popstar Royalty in the next legs.”
“We feel you,” the festival added, addressing Popsters who were there for Sarah Geronimo. It also expressed, “We sincerely apologize for this news and thank you for your understanding and support as we all wish Sarah G nothing but the best.”
Aside from Sarah Geronimo, the Aurora Music Festival’s lineup for today (May 2, 2026) includes Armi Millare, December Avenue, Ben & Ben, SB19, and IV of Spades.
