Shangri-La Plaza celebrates Coffee Culture 2025
September is filled with curated events that create meaningful connections beginning with a single cup
Coffee Culture 2025 is Shangri-La Plaza’s annual celebration of all things coffee! And this year centers on the belief that coffee is more than just a
beverage; it’s a bridge between people, stories, and shared experiences.
A Cup of Connections is filled to the brim with immersive experiences and collaborative gatherings that invite everyone to drink up the warmth, energy, and shared moments that coffee inspires.
What goes best when relaxing with a favorite drink? Music, definitely. Coffee Culture kicks off with Amiel + Cuatro Live at the Shang on September 4, 6:30PM at the Grand Atrium. Indie singer-songwriter and
musician Amiel Sol, best known for his Spotify Daily Chart-topping hit “Sa Bawat Sandali” teams up with 4-member pop band Cuatro for back-to-back performances of their most popular hits.
Picking up right after, the Coffee Fair is bringing together Shang’s beloved coffee tenants and emerging brewers to offer a weekend-long celebration of the craft and culture of coffee. From September 5 to 7, the Grand Atrium is the spot for a showcase of flavor, technique, and the coming together of enthusiasts. Visitors can join live workshops on September 6, including Coffee and Nutrition at 11AM and Coffee Sensory and Cupping at 2PM.
Beyond shopping and tastings, the Coffee Fair allows participants to discover what makes each brand and brewer unique. From bean to cup, go on an exciting coffee itinerary with Abstract Coffee, BCAA, Croft Bulk, Currently Whisking, Hoshi, Kubo by Kape De Filipina, Mamonakukohi, Paik’s Coffee, Salt and Butter, and more.
Shangri-La Plaza collaborates with Breakout PH to bring Episode One of Bad Genius to life with the Breakout Interactive Theater at the Red Carpet Cinema on September 6, 3:30PM. Inspired by the show’s high stakes puzzles and clever strategies, participants are set to watch and get ready for the Breakout session that follows.
The exciting, fun and immersive experience will push participants to think fast, use their skills, and work together to beat the clock! Open to all Shangri-La Plaza shoppers, participants must register on the day of the event at the Red Carpet Premiere booth and present a valid receipt from any specialty coffee shop at Shangri-La Plaza with a minimum spend of P250 in a single receipt, dated September 4-7.
Coffee Culture 2025 will be topped off with the high energy coffee party Hit Me with Your Best Shot! On September 7, 5-8PM at the Main Wing, guests are invited to dress, drink, and dance it up at this two- hour experience fueled by espresso and nostalgia. Party it up as the community comes together for pure, unfiltered vibes where movement meets memory and caffeine sparks connection.
Discover and enjoy a variety of specialty coffee shops at Shangri-La Plaza, including Bakehouse, Baking Therapy, Bo’s Coffee Primo, Café Lyon, Candid Coffee, Department of Coffee, Figaro, Harlan & Holden Coffee, Mary Grace Café, Muji Café, Piccola, Starbucks, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Toby’s Estate, UCC Mentoré, and Zullo.
Shangri-La Plaza’s Coffee Culture 2025: A Cup of Connections is a heartfelt tribute to how coffee grounds us—not just in flavor, but in feeling.
