An “Island” in BGC?
Yup, we recently discovered that. And thing is, you’ve probably been here before. It’s situated in Uptown Bonifacio, one of the fast-growing spots in BGC, and this “Island” is near crowd favorite bars such as Yes Please and Valkyrie!
This “Island” we are talking about is The Island at The Palace Complex where we first loved The Palace Pool Club, one of the best places to enjoy the nightlife in the metro. The Island is the first tropical-themed nightlife market in the country with nine food and concept bars.
Summer will definitely be all-year-long at The Island as it features different stations and bars that cater food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for those who love the tropics and the island life. You may not be at the beach, but it feels like it here, right in the heart of the bustling and lively BGC.
Here are the stations at The Island:
Coco Loco
This station features a wide variety of drinks from the menu most especially coolers, slushies, and smoothies such as mojitos and frozen sangria.
Big Kahuna
Everyone’s favorite! They sell diner classics such as burgers, chips, nachos, and pizza.
Catch & Release
To all seafood fans, this station is for you. They’ve got sushi, sashimi, salmon, and a lot more!
Super Papaya
If you’re in the mood for light booze and plenty of talks just drop by Super Papaya for ice-cold beers!
The Smoking Hut
Iconic favorites such as Pork Liempo and Peruvian Isaw are the stars here. They’ve got grilled food; take it from the station’s name!
El Pirata
El Pirata is your to-go bottle shop. Wines, liquor, sparkling water, soda, and even your favorite chips and snacks can be found here.
Hops and Shots
Get to this station if you want to try the shots of The Island. Our favorites are Lemon Drop and Cocomangas shots. They’re so good we had to ask for more!
The Secret Garden and Cabanas
This is for when you’re looking for a spot to chill, just sitting down, and talking to your barkada,
The Rum Jungle
An indoor tropical bar where your tiki shirts will really belong.
Then there’s The Pelican. Also one of the stations, The Pelican is a pop-up bar that changes its theme every 3 months. For April it’s going to be a hip gin bar.
At The Island, you will need to get a wristband because this will be your “money” to purchase food and drinks inside. It uses an RFID system that you can reload with cash. Cashless means convenience! You won’t need to take out your wallet every time you need to pay.
The Island is open from Tuesdays to Sundays and you won’t need a guest list to get in. Primarily, purchasing the wristband will do! So if you’re too busy to head to the beach but would want to escape the busy urban real quick, visit The Island and be easily transported to Bali or Boracay with its feels!
