If you’ve been completely hooked on the hit teleserye Someone, Someday, get ready for a major treat. Fan-favorite pairing James Reid and Kathryn Bernardo have officially joined forces for a romantic pop ballad titled “Aaminin,” serving as the series’ newest official theme song.
Out now on all major digital streaming platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment, the track is a vulnerable dive into the complicated—and painfully relatable—territory of falling for a close friend.

A confession shaped by Jordan and Billy
Written from Jordan’s (played by James) perspective as he navigates his growing feelings for Billy (portrayed by Kathryn), “Aaminin” captures the mix of longing, vulnerability, and uncertainty that comes with risking a friendship for love.
The song opens with an instantly captivating and intimate line from James: “Nung una pa lang, pansin ko naman na ’di pang-magkaibigan lang.”

According to James, the track came to life after a conversation with director Chad Vidanes. Teaming up with Jason Marvin—who also produced the track—James wanted to capture the essence of the characters’ evolving romance.
”I thought writing a song from Jordan’s perspective could be interesting,” James shared. “I teamed up with Jason Marvin to make this song, and we finished it in hopes that we could get Kathryn to sing on the track, and I’m very grateful that she did. The process didn’t require much thought because we have been close to these characters for almost a year. It’s a simple yet beautiful song, and our vocals blended really well.”

Unfiltered vulnerability and a stripped-down sound
Having spent nearly a year immersed in their roles, both stars brought a deep, authentic understanding of Jordan and Billy’s emotional journey straight into the recording booth.
With a stripped-down arrangement that feels reminiscent of a late-night bedroom confession, the production lets the lyrics take center stage. Honesty was the track’s guiding principle, drawing straight from the series’ scripts and character breakdowns to keep the emotion unfiltered and sincere.

“‘Aaminin’ is a song about hope and trusting your feelings, wherever they may lead,” James said.
