“La Chevrerie”, which literally means “The Goat’s Place”, is definitely a piece of paradise. Unlike other resorts in Anilao that mainly cater to divers, La Chevrerie keeps its standards to also be the perfect place for weekenders.
According to one of the owners and also a diver, Ms. Carmen, La Chevrerie was supposed to be just a retreat place for them and a home for their pet goats. She and her business partner just want to enjoy the beautiful view of Anilao and of course its rich waters for diving, but eventually they realized that it will be nice to share the beauty of the place to visitors and let them experience a world class service.
The resort is a fuse of luxury, comfort and style. Its industrial and contemporary design with the mix of modern and vintage details gives it a classy relax atmosphere. All of the furniture that they use were exported from different countries around Asia.

Our room was cozy, spacious and exquisite. From here, we could hear the lapping water at the shore: the perfect sound to hear every morning. I also loved the smell of their fresh linens and towels.
For their toiletries, they use Acca Kappa, a brand from Italy.

Though a projection of grand , La Chevrerie surely is not intimidating. It still manages to be homely as the staff are warm and gracious much enough. Even Ms. Carmen, personally entertains guests. I love my few little talks with her about diving, and encouraged me to cross it out on my bucket list soon. She even gladly shared her greatest diving encounters on different countries and how surreal diving can be. I got more excited to do it! Creating connection with their visitors makes La Chevrerie a real deal of luxury. I wish to be back real soon! By the way, they have their own dive center for those who desire to pursue diving.

This Anilao trip came in a perfect timing. I am glad I was able to cover this magnificent venue. I really needed a break then. Some time to think over matters and arrange thoughts for a new career venture of mine. The beach is probably the best therapy to anyone’s plight.
Apart from the waterfront the alluring poolside was my best-loved spot. Bean bags are scattered all around it to create a perfect atmosphere for lazy joe-ing after a few laps in the fresh water pool. The coconut trees surrounding the area are also placed in an ideal parallel manner, providing shade and the right hint of the sun in the middle of the afternoon.

Every area at the resort is perfect for chilling time. I especially love that they put the seats in almost every corner, suggesting an invitation to settle, relax and have a good time. Me and my friends from WhenInManila definitely had great moments of laughter and catching up while lounging at the pool area.

More than its amenities and clean surroundings, La Chevrerie also boasts of top quality in terms of food despite the limited sources of fresh vegetables, fruits and other fine ingredients in the area. Because of this, they actually travel to Tagaytay or Manila just to ensure that they always serve quality dishes.
