We’ve seen Hungry Homies in pop-up shops but it’s always sold out. It had developed a cult following that keeps on growing day by day. What started from just home cooking by head homie Miggy Cruz, Hungry Homies was created to serve hamburgers that you can enjoy with your friends and family.

They now opened their store in Chino Roces Makati to answer the call of more hungry homies. They accept dine-in, take-out, deliveries, and pick-ups for their burgers and sides.

Since it’s going to be the first time we visit, we decided to try all the 3 burgers on the menu with a side of cheese fries. Hypebeef is one of the classic cheeseburgers you can get from them. It is a Cali-style cheeseburger with smashed beef patty, caramelized onions (depends on availability), shredded lettuce, tomatoes, American cheese, Hungry Homies secret sauce, and served in a brioche bun.
I love uncomplicated food and it’s so easy to taste each element of the burger with the Hypebeef. Fresh ingredients, crispy and tender beef patty, all packed in a soft brioche bun.
The Purist, on the other hand, is an Oklahoma-style cheeseburger with fried onion (depends on availability), smashed beef patty, fried onions, pickle chips, American cheese, mayo-mustard dressing, and served in a brioche bun. We had ours with Sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms that made the burger richer in flavor.
If you want some Bacon Mushroom Cheese, the Run BMC is Hungry Homies’ Western-style cheeseburger with smashed beef patty, American cheese, mango wood smoked bacon, sautéed shiitake mushrooms, pickle chips, chipotle bbq mayo, and served in a brioche bun. This is perfect with additional Jalapeños!
