Green and White Power Ranger Jason David Frank Dies at 49

Jason David Frank, a beloved actor in the “Power Rangers” franchise, passed away at the age of 49 on November 19 in Texas.

It was his manager who confirmed his death to the press and asked for the “privacy of his family and friends during this horrible time as we come to terms with the loss of such a wonderful human being.” No details surrounding his passing were shared. He is survived by his four children, Hunter, Jacob, Skye, and Jenna.

Frank famously portrayed the role of Green Ranger who was initially the antagonist of the show after being placed under the spell of the main villain Rita Repulsa. He became a series mainstay following his unexpected popularity among fans and was eventually freed from the clutches of Rita Repulsa and became the White Ranger.

Frank also went on to star in many other “Power Rangers” films and shows. Outside of films, he built his Rising Sun Karate Academy together with business partner Kyoshi Rick Herbster. He has also competed in mixed martial arts tournaments in the US and won.

He was set to star in a new action-sci-fi movie titled “Legend of the White Dragon” where he was going to play the lead role.
