To millions scrolling through their feeds, he is the internet’s resident answer man—the guy who breaks down complex truths with effortless charm. But behind the steady composure of a content creator who seems to know everything lies a relatable reality: he’s still figuring life out, one step at a time.

On August 17, 2026, Raymor Cuevas—the content creator behind the catchphrase “Let me explain something”—shared that he had just passed the licensure examination for food technologists. In his celebratory post on Facebook, he recalled the existential crisis he experienced after graduating from college.

“Fresh out of college, I felt lost, quietly envying classmates who had clear and straightforward paths ahead,” said the 19th Gandingan Awards Most Development-Oriented Short-Form Video Series recipient.
Unsure of what to do in life, the 24-year-old food technology graduate from the University of the Philippines Mindanao decided to pause his dream of becoming a food scientist to take a risk on content creation.

“Stepping back turned out to be one of the best decisions of my life. That pause opened the doors to digital content creation, where brand collaborations tapped me, organizational partnerships grew, and I finally took the leap to move to Manila,” Cuevas wrote.
After taking a gap year and seeing his career in content creation flourish, the food technology graduate eventually realized his purpose—to use his platform to elevate his profession from downgraded views—which inspired him to finally take the board exam.

“I wanted to break that stigma and show people the rigorous science behind it. Our profession is so vital, especially when it comes to ensuring food safety, improving public health, and innovating the food we serve to the masses,” said Cuevas in an exclusive interview with WhenInManila.com.
“As an educreator, having this license gives me a stronger platform to advocate for my fellow food technologists and educate everyone on how much science actually goes into the food we eat every single day,” he added.

However, returning to review for the board exam after a year-long break did not come easy. Given his busy schedule as a full-time content creator, Cuevas said he had difficulty focusing on his studies.
“With only twenty days left before the board exam, I had to lock in. I crammed six months of review materials into less than three weeks. It was an exhausting, high-stress rush where my brain felt completely drained, and the fear of failure was suffocating,” Cuevas shared.

Despite the intense challenges of his review period, the content creator did not surrender. Fueled by his faith in God and his newfound purpose, he powered through the exam.
Looking back on his journey from feeling lost to feeling fulfilled, the 2022 TikTok Awards Philippines Top Education Creator offered a bit of wisdom for others in similar shoes: “It’s completely okay to feel lost—it just means you are in the process of exploring. It’s much like a science experiment; sometimes we need a few failed attempts and adjustments before we find the right formula for our lives.”

“Don’t pressure yourself to have everything figured out right away. Take your time, discover what truly fascinates you, and embrace the process of learning about yourself,” Cuevas said.
