Ilonggo Nurses Wear Power Rangers-themed PPEs to ‘Empower’ Frontliners and Patients

Adrian Pe, nurse and fashion designer, recently shared on Instagram another great design for the Protective Personal Equipment (PPEs) that he and fellow nurses are producing for other frontliners. This time, Pe based the look on 90’s favorite Power Rangers to spread a little joy and inspiration to everyone.

“I correlate it with our modern-day heroes, our frontliners,” he told CNN Philippines’ New Day. “I chose the Teletubbies because it gives frontliners not only the protection but the positive vibe, and Power Rangers to inspire workers to live out their childhood superheroes.”

Pe started the initiative to provide frontliners with PPEs by enlisting the help of his fellow nurses in creating them during their off-duty hours. Now, different groups and volunteers aid in the production of the PPEs with help from donations of private citizens.

In a span of 3 weeks, Pe’s team has distributed over 600 PPE suits.

Tailors who wish to volunteer in the production of PPEs may contact Navales at 0917 779 0061. Cash donations may be deposited to Pe’s Banco de Oro account 000781182093, or Bank of the Philippine Islands account 9303123867.
