Six days ago, GMA dropped Voltes V: Legacy‘s mega trailer online. Yesterday, the network announced that it has reached 7 million views across all GMA Network online platforms in a span of five days.
On the Facebook page of Voltes V: Legacy, the trailer reportedly hit 4.1 million and 130,000 views on its Instagram page. Meanwhile, it has earned 1.6 million views on GMA’s YouTube channel, 1.1 million views on its official TikTok account, and 255,400 views on Twitter gaining seven million views in total, as of January 6.
Why is it trending? The first official trailer of Voltes V: Legacy showcases groundbreaking CGI effects by Pinoy animators (GMA Post Video graphics and Audio team and Riot Inc. Post-Production) as it incorporates live-action elements. This Pinoy adaptation of Voltes V follows the three brothers Steve, Big Bert, and Little Jon Armstrong, and their friends Jamie Robinson and Mark Gordon joining forces to defend the Earth from invaders, the Boazanians.
Written by Suzette Doctolero and directed by Mark Reyes, GMA reportedly produced “the Philippines’ first serious epic sci-fi TV show” in partnership with Toei Company, Ltd. and Telesuccess Productions, Inc.
Miguel Tanfelix (Steve), Matt Lozano (Big Bert), Raphael Landicho (Little Jon), Ysabel Ortega (Jamie), and Radson Flores (Mark) lead the Voltes V: Legacy‘s cast of characters.
