Last February 28, President Armie Jarin-Bennett of CNN, together with some hosts and anchors from the network, introduced new shows that will be released on the network in the next few weeks. There are revamps, new hosts, and bigger concepts that you will want to see. Here are some highlights:
5. Newsroom Ngayon on Facebook Live
CNN Philippines wants to share and hear the story of the Filipino people. What better way to do that than with social media? Utilizing Facebook Live, Ruth Cabal will give us all the latest news in the Filipino language. Check it out on weekdays at 10am and comment because the network wants to hear you!
4. Wake up to a New Day
“Start your mornings with new energy” appropriately says the card for CNN Philippines’ weekday 6am show entitled New Day. Get your morning fix of news, entertainment, and many more from the lineup of Andrei Felix, Claire Celdran, and Claudine Trillo. Also catch James Deakin every Friday and Christine Jacob when Trillo goes on maternity leave.
3. Gilbert Remulla on CNN Philippines
During the media launch, Jarin-Bennett expressed her excitement over Remulla’s new relationship with the network. Political Insider starts on March 3 at 9:30pm. Join the analyst and other figures in Philippine politics in a more informal setting; proving that politics is part of everyday life at any time.
2. Pia Hontiveros in action
The chief correspondent will surely go “above and beyond the headlines” when she anchors the network’s flagship news program, News Tonight, starting March 27 in their new time slot of 6pm. She will also take us around the world through the top international stories we need to hear—Hontiveros will be on Global Newsroom on weekdays starting March 1 at 3pm.
1. Waiting for the weekend
Hectic schedule won’t let you catch the regular newsrooms? Worry not because Mai Rodriguez and Newsroom Weekend will give you a run-down of the week’s latest happenings. It will air every Saturday starting March 4 at 12pm and 6pm
These are only a few of CNN Philippines’ continuous effort to become a trusted news network. The Filipino people were heard and they have made efforts in hopes to become more closer to the masses. Without a doubt, 2017 will be an exciting year for CNN Philippines. Will you be tuning in?
