La Union’s Bea Millan-Windorski reigned supreme at the 2026 Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) pageant, besting a competitive field of delegates representing Filipino cities, provinces, and overseas communities.

Miss Universe Philippines 2025 and Miss Universe 2025 3rd Runner-up Ahtisa Manalo crowned her successor during the glittering coronation night at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City on May 2, 2026.
The newly crowned beauty queen wowed the selection committee and the global audience throughout the night with her poise and commanding stage presence. During the crucial question-and-answer portion, the Top 7 finalists were asked the same question: “Many Filipinos are getting frustrated with the country. For you, why is it still worth it to represent the Philippines on the global stage?”

To which she responded: “The Philippines is a place that I’ve been in love with my whole life. Growing up in a predominantly non-diverse part of the United States, I was identified as a Filipina first and foremost. I often had to point out where the Philippines was on a map to my peers, and I always felt a sense of belonging and home. I chose to pack my life into balikbakayan boxes and suitcases because I believe in the limitless potential of the Filipino people, and the fact that we need to create local opportunities here so that people don’t have to go abroad and be separated from their families in order to survive and thrive. If I were given the title of Miss Universe Philippines, I promise to be a public servant for all.”

In addition to the panel, the public also had a say in the results by voting through “UVote” via the Maya app.
The special awardees who were also recognized at the MUPH 2026 coronation night are as follows:

- Miss Photogenic: Kristen Joy Marcelino – Pateros
- Best in Swimsuit: Justine Beatrice Felizarta – Manila

Bea Millan-Windorski is set to represent the Philippines at the 75th Miss Universe pageant in Puerto Rico this November.
This year’s ceremony made history as it was hosted by international drag superstar Marina Summers, the first transgender woman to ever host the prestigious national pageant. A special performance by P-pop sensation BGYO also brought the crowd to their feet before the final crowning moment.
