The Miss Universe Philippines Organization (MUPH) announced that this year’s edition will introduce a new format that will allow pageant fans to show their support and garner more excitement and involvement across audiences.

Under the new format, the preliminary competitions—Evening Gown, Swimsuit, and Closed-Door Interview—will now be conducted in stages. Pre-pageant activities will be filmed in March, with the Evening Gown segment kicking off the first round.

Across all three stages, the public will play a key role in determining which candidates move on to the semifinals.

Delegates who do not advance through the voting rounds will still participate in the coronation night. Some candidates may also secure “wildcard” spots or brand-sponsored awards, earning them a place in the semifinals.

For the first time, the public will also help choose the next queen during coronation night through live voting via the pageant’s official partner app.

The coronation night is set for May 2026.
