Shonda Rhimesโ “Inventing Anna” is one of the most talked about TV shows on Netflix. The drama was adapted from Jessica Presslerโs article in The Cut titled “Maybe She Had So Much Money She Just Lost Track of It”. Starring Julia Garner, the story follows the pursuit of journalist Vivian Kent (Anna Chlumsky) of the larger story behind Anna Sorokin, also known as Anna Delvey, the “Instagram-legendary heiress who stole the hearts and money of New York elites.” Garner was nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild Awards for her portrayal of Delvey’s role.
Based on a true story, the real-life Anna Delvey will now have her own show. The upcoming series, however, will be shot from her apartment as the Russian-German personality remains under house arrest after being released from jail over three months ago.

Just a quick recap: Delvey was reportedly sentenced to 4 to 12 years in prison for financial crimes including grand larceny and stealing a private jet. In 2021, she was released on good behavior but was arrested again by the U.S. Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) six weeks later for overstaying her visa. Since October 2022, she has been living under house arrest in Manhattan, New York after posting $10,000 (around Php 550K) bail.
Now, she reportedly landed her own unscripted series titled “Delveyโs Dinner Club,” which will allow her to tell her own story. According to its producers, the “intimate dinners” at her home are invitation only. Joining her each week at a private chef-catered table are “a Delvey-invited group of actors, musicians, founders, socialites, journalists, and other esteemed guests.”

As a reality series, they are expected to spill a lot of tea through their “candid conversations where no topic is off-limits.” This includes “Annaโs experience within the criminal justice system, her strategy to rebuild her image, and her plans for the future.”
“Thereโs nothing like the experience of bringing together a curated group of friends to share life stories and enjoy a great culinary experience,” Delvey stated in the show’s press release. “Iโm grateful for the opportunity to work with Wheelhouse [Entertainment] and Butternut [Productions] to bring my vision to a wider audience and share a glimpse of the real Anna Delvey.”
“Delveyโs Dinner Club will reveal the actual woman behind everything weโve read and watched about Anna. We believe she will defy viewersโ expectations,” Butternut Productions CEO Courtney White added.
Page Six also reported the list of her dream guests in an interview, which includes Madonna, Elon Musk, Serbian artist Marina Abramoviฤ, American author Ottessa Moshfegh, U.S. Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas, former secretary of state Cyrus Vance, crypto CEO Sam Bankman-Fried (who is also currently under house arrest for fraud charges), and “Moneyball” and “The Big Short” author Michael Lewis. Their RSVPs are yet to be confirmed.
