Food content creator Abi Marquez is among the nominees for the prestigious James Beard 2024 Media Awards under the category of social media account.

Earlier this month, the 23-year-old happily shared the news on social media by posting her reaction to finding out about her nomination, which she emphasized her dream.
“Another INCREDIBLE international recognition for Filipino food and talent. This is literally MY DREAM,” she captioned her post.
Abi then expressed gratitude to her family, friends, supporters, and management, NYMA, “Thank you so much to you guys for allowing me to do what I love for a living. Thank you to my family and friends for the support.”
“I wouldn’t be here without my management NYMA and the AMAZING people behind it – I’m eternally grateful. See you, Chicago.”
This new milestone came after she recently bagged the People’s Voice Award in the General Social: Food and Drink Category of Webby Awards and made it to the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia.
The James Beard Awards is considered one of the highest honors in the culinary and food media industries, recognizing leaders and innovators throughout the food system.
Dubbed “Lumpia Queen,” Abi rose to fame with her own take on lumpiang shanghai or spring rolls and other creative food recipes. She has over 3.3 million followers on TikTok and has collaborated with brands and culinary professionals globally.
