Earlier this month, the couple celebrated their fourth anniversary. The actress shared a photo of them on Instagram with the caption, “4 years since I met this freaking dreamboat. I love him more every day. I’m forever grateful!”

According to People, Scott proposed to Deschanel on Sunday, August 13, during a family trip to Scotland. The latter’s children, Elsie and Charlie, were also reportedly present at the proposal.
The newly engaged met in August 2019 while filming Carpool Karaoke: The Series alongside Scott’s twin brother Drew Scott and Deschanel’s sister Emily Deschanel. In October 2019, they officially confirmed their relationship through an Instagram post.

Known for her roles in 500 Days of Summer and New Girl, Deschanel was previously married to Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard and film producer Jacob Pechenik. She shares Elsie and Charlie with Pechenik. On the other hand, the “Property Brothers” host was previously married to Kelsy Ully.
